WELCOME

Welcome and thank you for visiting my website. I am an instructor in the Department of English and the Division of French and Italian Studies at the University of Washington.

In June, I defended my dissertation, Making France Visible: Visual Technologies of Nationalism. This work touches on a number of my academic and personal interests including visual culture, the history of technology, architecture, museology, national identity and nationalism.

On this site you can find a more extensive description of my research, a teaching statement along with sample syllabi, my vitae, a bit about my life outside the university and links to interesting organizations and sites.
